Objective Evil: Satanic Cults in U.S. Intelligence is an investigative article by Roy Blake that alleges organised Satanic cult activity within U.S. intelligence and military institutions. According to the article, the central figure is Lieutenant Colonel Michael Aquino, a former U.S. Army psychological operations officer and founder of the Temple of Set. The article focuses heavily on the Presidio child care center allegations of the 1980s and links them to wider claims of Satanic Ritual Abuse, Trauma Based Programming, and clandestine mind-control programs such as MK-Ultra and Project Monarch.

Overview
The article presents a thesis that elements within U.S. intelligence and military structures have allegedly maintained, protected, or participated in occult networks operating under the cover of national security. According to Blake, the secrecy and compartmentalisation common in intelligence work create conditions in which ritual groups can operate without effective oversight.

The article situates itself within the broader investigative tradition of The Freedom Articles, and it is associated with writer and researcher Makia Freeman (Author). It draws on public records, interview accounts, and earlier research into ritual abuse, mind control, and psychological operations. According to the article, the contested nature of the evidence does not disprove the claims, because classification, witness intimidation, and official denial allegedly protect those involved.

The article frames Satanism and ceremonial magic not merely as fringe beliefs but as alleged instruments of control, manipulation, and group bonding within secretive institutions. It argues that occult initiation may serve both ideological and operational purposes, including the compartmentalisation of illegal activities and the psychological conditioning of participants.

Michael Aquino and Temple of Set
Michael Aquino was a career U.S. Army officer who served in psychological operations and reportedly held a high-level role within the Church of Satan before leaving to found the Temple of Set in 1975. According to the article, Aquino's background combined military intelligence methods with an esoteric and initiatory religious structure.

The article alleges that Aquino used military resources, travel, and access to personnel to advance the Temple of Set and recruit sympathetic individuals inside government and military institutions. It points to reports that Aquino authored materials exploring psychological warfare, mind control, and the manipulation of belief systems. According to Blake, this placed Aquino at a unique intersection of occult practice and state power.

The article also discusses Aquino's involvement with the Church of Satan and the doctrinal split that led to the creation of the Temple of Set. Some researchers suggest that the Temple's emphasis on individual will and esoteric knowledge made it attractive to people seeking hidden influence rather than public notoriety.

Presidio Child Care Center Allegations
A major focus of the article is the Presidio Child Care Center Allegations. During the 1980s, children at the Presidio Army base child care center in San Francisco made allegations of sexual abuse and ritual abuse involving adults connected to the base. According to the article, some children reportedly described black robes, occult symbols, threats involving animals, and being photographed during abuse.

The article states that investigations led to court-martial proceedings and some convictions, but argues that the official response suppressed the full scope of the alleged network. Blake claims that the Temple of Set and persons associated with Michael Aquino were deliberately excluded from serious investigation, and that the case was reframed as isolated misconduct rather than organised ritual abuse.

According to the article, the Presidio allegations became one of the earliest high-profile cases in which military child care facilities were linked to Satanic Ritual Abuse. The article treats the children's statements as meaningful disclosures rather than products of suggestion or interviewer error, while acknowledging that the case remains contested.

Claims of Ritual Abuse and Mind Control
The article draws explicit connections between the alleged activity at Presidio and wider claims of Ritual Abuse, Trauma Based Programming, and systematic mind control. According to Blake, survivors of alleged ritual networks describe deliberate splitting of personality through extreme trauma, the use of occult symbolism, drugs, hypnosis, and repeated abuse designed to create controllable alters.

The article uses the framework of Satanic Ritual Abuse to interpret the allegations, arguing that ritual elements are not incidental but central to the psychological control of victims. It suggests that occult rituals allegedly serve as a method of conditioning, secrecy enforcement, and group cohesion among perpetrators.

Blake argues that such claims should not be dismissed merely because they resemble accounts from the satanic panic era. According to the article, the involvement of military and intelligence personnel changes the evidentiary significance of the allegations, and official reluctance to investigate is itself treated as supporting the thesis.

Links to MK-Ultra and Project Monarch
The article places the alleged cult activity in the context of documented mind-control research. MK-Ultra was a CIA program that used LSD, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, electroshock, and other methods in attempts to control human behaviour. Some researchers argue that Project Monarch was a related program focused on trauma-based dissociation and ritual programming.

According to Blake, Michael Aquino's psychological operations background and his alleged interest in mind control suggest continuity between older CIA programs and later occult networks. The article claims that the Temple of Set provided an external network through which such methods could be continued away from formal government oversight.

The article does not claim that all elements of these programs are confirmed by declassified documents. Instead, it argues that the evidence is fragmented because the programs allegedly relied on secrecy, compartmentalisation, and private networks. According to the article, the absence of a paper trail is consistent with a deliberate operational structure rather than proof that the claims are false.

Reception and Criticism
The article has been received by critics as part of the larger satanic ritual abuse literature, which many academics and law-enforcement researchers regard with strong scepticism. Critics point to the use of recovered memories, the influence of day-care abuse panics, and the absence of corroborating physical evidence. Some argue that the Presidio case is better explained by ordinary abuse, flawed interviewing techniques, and False Memory Syndrome rather than organised Satanic networks inside intelligence agencies.

According to the article's defenders, the involvement of military and intelligence institutions makes independent corroboration unusually difficult, and official denial is not neutral. They argue that the article should be assessed as an investigative hypothesis rather than a legal finding.

The article repeatedly uses language such as "alleged", "reportedly", and "according to the article" for contested events, and it presents its conclusions as an alternative narrative to official accounts. This page does not resolve the dispute but documents the claims and their reception within the wider research community.
